“Patience bears a golden fruit”- this just came true for Apple TV+ subscribers who haven’t cancelled their subscriptions at any point starting from 2019. Apple extended the free trial for TV+ up till July 2021.
Earlier the company offered free subscription of TV+ for a year n 2019 with purchase of a new device, and that was going to expire in November 2020. Apple extended the free trial till February 2021 in the last October and has now again extended up to July 2021.
Reportedly, Apple has pushed the expiry date to improve their services and the contents of the TV+ to increase value propositions of the launched shows, also to launch second seasons of launched shows and increase the number to launch flagship series.
Apple will start to notify people who are eligible via email over the next couple of weeks, and also compensate who have paid beforehand. Any subscriber that had paid to Apple TV+ monthly plan or who currently pay for the Apple One Bundle subscription, will receive $4.99 store credit for the February to June period, offsetting the cost of their subscription.
