Just somedays in the new year, and Samsung have officially announced the event date for Samsung Unpacked 2021 and the highlight of the day.

The Company confirmed the event date for Samsung Unpacked 2021 to be 14th January. The event will be live-streamed on Samsung.com at 10 am EST (8.30 am IST) on January 14. 

The Company is all set to reveal its new flagship series named to be S21 that would be ranged all through this year. The Company claims this series to be ‘new experiences ‘in mobile technology.

Samsung has released an invitation for the event as well as a blurred teaser video which appears to be the first look of the smartphones to be unveiled.

A triple camera set up on the module with sensors sits on a vertical line is what the teaser video shows. Though the names of the phones are yet to be announced.

All thanks to the leaks in the past that suggest there will be three smartphones in this ‘S’ series – Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21+, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Expected details of the S Series:

As per the reports of WinFuture.de, a popular German publication known for sharing accurate leaks, has given out all the required specifications of these phones.

The phones are said to include dual Nano SIM support, Android 11 with One UI 3.1 and an Octa-core Exynos 21000 SoC. Though it Is expected to have the recently launched Snapdragon 888 in US and some other selected markets.

Samsung Galaxy S21

  • The price for the base model is reported to be starting at EUR 849, i.e., roughly Rs.76,000 for 128 GB, and the 256 GB variant for EUR 899, i.e., roughly Rs. 80,600.
  • The RAM could be of 8 GB.
  • Coming to the screen, the display would be 6.2-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Infinity-O Display with Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen and 421ppi pixel density with 60-120Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7 protection on top.
  • It can have a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with a telephoto f/2.0 lens on top, 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 12-megapixel tertiary sensor with a wide-angle f/1.8 lens and the primary and tertiary lenses of the setup could have optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The camera setup is expected to offer 3x “hybrid” opticalzoom. For selfies and video chats, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will come with a 10-megapixel camera sensor at the front along with an f/2.2 lens with a probable 80-degree of field-of-view (FoV). The Ultra model at the front is most likely to have a 40-megapixel 1/2.8-inch sensor has PDAF and laser autofocus features.
  • It may have a battery of 4000 mAh with 25W fast charging support- alongside Qi wireless charging compatibility.

Samsung Galaxy S21+

  • The Galaxy S21+ is said to be priced at EUR 1049, i.e., Rs. 94,000 approx. for 128 GB and EUR 1099, i.e. Rs.98,700 for the 256 GB.
  • The RAM could be 8 GB.
  • The Galaxy S21+ could offer the display of 6.7-inch full size HD+ (1080×2,400 pixels) and 394 ppi of pixel density with 60-120Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7 protection on top.
  • It can have a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with a telephoto f/2.0 lens on top, 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 12-megapixel tertiary sensor with a wide-angle f/1.8 lens and the primary and tertiary lenses of the setup could have optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The camera setup is expected to offer 3x “hybrid” optical zoom. For selfies and video chats, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will come with a 10-megapixel camera sensor at the front along with an f/2.2 lens with a prot bable 80-degree of field-of-view (FoV). The Ultra model at the front is most likely to have a 40-megapixel 1/2.8-inch sensor has PDAF and laser autofocus features.
  • It can be blessed with a 4800 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support —alongside Qi wireless charging compatibility.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

  • It will be having three storage options – EUR 1349, i.e., Rs.1,21,400 for 128 GB, EUR 1399 or Rs.1,25,900 for 256 GB and EUR 1,529, i.e., Rs. 1,37,600 for the rumored expensive variant of 512 GB.
  • The RAM is expected to be of 12 GB.
  • It is expected to features a 6.8-inch (1,440×3,200 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 515ppi pixel density with 120Hz refresh rate and offer Gorilla Glass 7 protection.
  • It is also expected to feature a multiple lens setup with a 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), two additional zoom lenses on board with 10-megapixel resolution- one zoom lens has 35-degree field-of-view and f/2.4 aperture and the other has 10-degree field-of-view but comes with periscope optics to offer 240mm focal length. There is also a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with 120-degree field-of-view. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra also has a laser autofocus system at the back.
  • It sports a 5,000mAh battery on board with 45W fast charging support on Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Also, it may support wireless charging as well.
  • It may include S-Pen as an accessory.
  • All the three phones are expected to include a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and 5G. But charger or in-ear may not be included in the box.

With all the speculated features everybody is hyped about the launch of the phones. Though, we have to wait for the Samsung Unpacked 2021 to get the first look at the phones as well as for the confirmation of features and official announcement of prices.
