This year, Google is trying something by moving away from the flagships and offer smartphones at a lower price.

The Pixel 5 sports a 6-inch FHD+(1080 X 2340) OLED Display with 90 Hz refresh rate (called Smooth Display by Google).
Towards the front, the Pixel 5 chin has shrunk quite a bit to give it a high screen to body ratio upfront also the front display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6.
Moreover, the latest Pixels have ditched the facial scanning technology on Pixel 4 in favour of modern punch-hole design at the front.
In terms of build, the Pixel 5 has an all aluminum build. The Pixel 5 also retains water and dust resistance which is nice to see.
Google also talked about the Titan M Chip present in the new Pixel devices, including the Pixel 4A, which is responsible for the privacy of your phone.
The camera has always been pixel’s strong suit, and here the Pixel 5 doesn’t disappoint.
The Pixel 5 now comes with a 16 MP ultra-wide sensor replacing the telephoto lens on the Pixel 4 which one of the several gripes of the Pixel 4. The primary camera now is a 12.2 MP sensor. At the front is the 8 MP front camera the same as the one found on the Pixel 4.
Besides, Google revealed some of the new software features coming on its Pixel Devices, firstly HDR+ is even better now. Secondly, the night mode support for the portrait photos has been added.
Along with that Google launched three new stabilization modes Locked, Active, Cinematic Pan for stable videos.
Like any Pixel Smartphone, the Pixel 5 comes with the latest software with Android 11 out-of-box and you get 3 years of OS and Security updates alng with thatl.
Along with that, Google also debuted the all-new extreme battery saver feature that reduces the power consumption significantly providing up to 48 hours of extra battery life.
Hold for me is Google’s solution to long customer service wait times. It uses Google duplex and call screen features and tells you when the line was picked up so that you don’t need to waste your time waiting. Along with that Google launched three new stabilization modes Locked, Active, Cinematic Pan for stable videos.
Finally, the Pixel 5, it packs a 4080 mAh battery with 18W fast charging to top-up the phone quickly, and it can be expected to provide good battery life especially since its powering a smaller 6-inch display.
You can top up the Pixel 5 wirelessly as well since it supports fast wireless charging as well.
The Pixel 5 is going to be available with Black and Seige Green colour options for a price tag of $699 in the US. But, Google hasn’t as of yet announced when the Pixel 5 would launch in India or even if it will launch in India.
