With 3,137 more patients testing positive for Covid-19 within the national capital on Friday – highest single-day spike – the overall number of coronavirus cases in Delhi has surged to 53,116, according to health officials.
Along with that, the death toll from Covid-19 elevated to 2,035 after 66 more fatalities have been reported on Friday, the officers mentioned.
The earlier highest spike in fresh cases — 2,877– was recorded on 18 June.
