As per speculations, the cards should benefit from Ampere architecture improvements like faster ray tracing. It might add Resizable Base Address Register tech that boosts communication between the CPU and GPU. The existing RTX 30 chips are technically capable, so it may just enable the feature through software.
NVIDIA can also introduce a non-Ti RTX 3060 for desktops at the virtual event.
Most questions are still unanswered and we have to wait till the presentation in the virtual event. It will be interesting to see how the laptop RTX3O copes with the graphics compared to other counterparts. Also, as RTX30 boards consume a lot of power, how NVIDIA keeps the power consumption of portable laptops under check, is a big question mark.
