The all-new iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max features a new design, display, cameras, and a lot more, so let’s take a detailed look at what’s new.

Design
The iPhone 13 Pro develops upon the squared-off edge of the iPhone 12 pro with a Surgical Stainless Steel Design, which is as durable and resistant as it is elegant. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max boast a new range of colors Graphite, Silver, Gold, and Sierra Blue. Moreover, the iPhone 13 Pro is now protected with Ceramic Shield and is also IP68 dust and water-resistant.
This year Apple has reduced the notch by as much as 20% in size allowing for a much more immersive viewing experience.
Display
The all-new iPhone 13 has a new OLED Super Retina XDR display which is 25% brighter with 1000 nits of peak brightness and much-improved contrast.
A much-awaited upgrade has been the addition of Promotion to iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max which allows the iPhone to switch between 10 Hz and 120 Hz depending on the content on the screen. It improves the smoothness of the display while scrolling through web pages, while gaming, and doing most tasks in general.
Performance
The iPhone 13 comes with Apple’s most powerful mobile SoC, the Apple A15 Bionic with 15 billion transistors. The A15 has a 6-core CPU (2 performance cores + 4 High-efficiency cores) which is 50% better performance than the competition. Furthermore, the A15’s 5-core GPU for class-leading graphics performance.
In terms of the neural engine, it is now capable of 15.8 trillion operations every second. All in all the A15 Bionic in the iPhone 13 is a powerhouse.
Camera
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max feature the most advanced triple camera on an iPhone to date. The iPhone 13 Pro boasts a much larger sensor with a 1.7-micron pixel size for more light and less noise. It also comes with sensor-shift technology that moves the sensor for stabilisation for improved low light capability.
The ultrawide with f/1.8 with Autofocus is now capable of better low light pictures. The iPhone 13 Pro features Macro Photography with a 2 cm focusing distance.
The telephoto camera is now capable of 3X optical zoom and much better low light capability.
In the video department, apple has added CInematic mode, photographic styles (applies real-life filters), Macro Slow-Mo video. You can also shot and edit ProRes video at 4K@30fps for an end to end workflow on your iPhone 13 pro and Pro Max.
Battery
This year, both the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max get a significant upgrade in the battery department with a larger battery providing an additional 1.5 hrs of usage on the 13 Pro compared to the 12 Pro and 2.5 hrs more usage on the 13 Pro Max compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Price and Availability
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max remain unchanged in terms of price starting at $999 and $1099 for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max respectively for the 128 GB storage.
