- Nvidia RTX 3070 launch date delayed to October 29th.
- The RTX 3070 is supposed to cost $499 (51,000 in India).
- The delay might resolve the scarcity issues with the latest Nvidia GPUs.
Nvidia has delayed its launch GeForce RTX 3070 GPU by two weeks hence the cards will be available from October 29th instead of October 15th. It seems that the scarcity of the latest RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 GPUs has forced Nvidia to push back the launch of the RTX 3070 GPUs. According to Nvidia, they have taken this measure to so that more graphic cards are available for more buyers on the launch date.
As per Nvidia, “We know this may be disappointing to those eager to purchase a GeForce RTX 3070 as soon as possible, however this shift will help our global partners get more graphics cards into the hands of gamers on launch day.”
It is not very good news for those who were looking to get their hands on the RTX 3070 as soon as possible. But, it should be able to solve the availability issues of the latest graphic cards and allow more customers to get one.
For those who aren’t aware The GeForce RTX 3070 is Nvidia’s upper mid-range graphics card at $499 (₹51,000 in India), which will feature 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and 5888 Cuda cores to deliver a similar or faster gaming experience compared to the RTX 2080 Ti and 60% higher performance than the GeForce RTX 2070. It also comes with the latest features like DLSS 2.0, ray-tracing, NVIDIA Reflex etc.
Let’s hope that the RTX 3070 launch goes better than the RTX 3080 and 3090 launches.
