Introduction
So today, in the Apple Spring Loaded Event, Apple has launched multiple products, one of which is the Apple TV 4K and the new Siri Remote. Let’s start, with what all you need to know about the new Apple TV 4K.
Apple TV 4K
The all-new Apple TV 4K is now powered by the Apple A12 Bionic chipset. Thanks to this chip, the Apple TV has got integrated with the Apple ecosystem. With Apple TV you can sync your Apple Watch, to have your morning workout. Or even you can watch a movie with your AirPods on.
As evident already, the Apple TV now has 4K support, and it doesn’t end here. The Apple TV also comes with support for Dolby Vision, HDR in high framerate which Apple claims is mainly for smooth playback of sports events.
A really great new addition to the Apple TV is the Colour Balance Feature. What this basically means, is that you can use the light sensors, on your iPhone, along with your Apple TV to color calibrate your Television set, to get the best results. The results can be seen in the following images.
The New Siri Remote
Lastly, let’s talk about the Siri-Remote. This is an all-in-one remote, which has a unibody, aluminium design. There’s a dedicated Siri button to the side, just like on the iPhones, and a Click Pad in the center.
Now the click pad, not only supports touch gestures, but now, it also has new toggle gestures, which will come in very handy, in navigating. With this new Siri Remote, you can use this to power on/off your television with the new power button, hence no need for a separate TV remote.
Lastly, this year, Apple has focussed a lot on making their products, environment friendly, and the Apple TV 4K is no exception.
