iPadOS
iPadOS comes with powerful features and built-in apps designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of iPad.
Well to be honest on a device like the iPad Pro 2020 the specs don’t matter to me much nowadays.Apple’s chipsets and hardware and software optimisation is extremely efficient and you can expect high end MacBook like performance from this device and this will be even more clear if you go onto see some GEEKBENCH SCORES.
Now this year apple has added two features that stood out to me.First is the LIDAR sensor and the triple camera setup.Well cameras are never the goto thing in tablets but the quality of these cameras is flagship grade and the LIDAR sensor helps in enhancing AI capabilities and 3d projection capabilities.
The second thing is the 300$ magic keyboard case that’s supposed to float the iPad using magnets and from the first look of it , it seems pretty dope. Also the trackpad is a welcome addition as the new iPad OS 13.4 has some changes which make it more user friendly with a cursor and mouse.
The rest everything remains the best in class ranging from the performance to the battery life ,the design ,the speakers ,the excellent display..etc.
But with all that does it really replace your laptop?
Well Yes, it does for a specific category of users. Users who generally use apps like word excel PowerPoint ..do presentations deal with emails all the time, well the iPad can deal with that easily, even heavy tasks like video editing on LUMA FUSION, photo editing with Lightroom can be easily done on the iPad without breaking a sweat. But if the user needs the laptop for some really intense tasks like coding or installing different apps and software then the iPad Pro is not the replacement as it’s bottlenecked by the software. Though Apple is including iPad OS with a host of new features on every update, there’s a pretty large gap between iPad OS and proper operating Systems like Windows and Mac.
