Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Price, Specs, and other Details
Firstly the unboxing experience, is something Samsung has focussed on. Have a look at the image below.
Now, the whole chassis is thinner than before, and the gap between the screens has been minimized. Samsung seems to have worked on the folding mechanism, and it is more seamless than the previous versions, as per the claims.
Samsung has also announced a collaboration with Thom- Browne New York, for some stunning looking devices, like these.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the successor to the Original Galaxy Fold launched last year. Samsung has refined the design of the original Fold, improved the original Fold’s strong suits and rectified the issues with its predecessor. It is available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze offerings.

Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 carries the premium design from the Note 20 Ultra. It comes with a premium glass back and a glass display when folded. Its inner unfolded screen is made of plastic as glass can’t be folded.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 doesn’t have any IP rating since foldable have movable parts which are nearly impossible to waterproof.
The foldable glass of the Z Fold 2. Samsung says, it needs to strike a balance between durability, and flexibility, to get the best of both worlds. The technology used here by Samsung is called, Ultra-Thin Glass or (UTG). This technology enables Samsung to improve the foldable screen experience.
Display
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a 7.6-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 120 Hz (1768X2208) inner display, and the external display is a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED display. The screen on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is HDR 10+ certified just the Note series.
The inner foldable display Samsung AMOLED has a refresh rate of 120 Hz while the outer display is capped at 60 Hz. This means that gaming, consuming media on the large foldable screen would be incredible. Just like the Note series both the displays on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 provide vibrant colours, refresh rate, excellent brightness, and contrast.
Performance
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes equipped with the same processor as the Note series the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ globally (unlike the Note series which comes with Exynos 990 outside US and Canada). It also packs massive 12 GB LPPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 with expandable storage.
Camera
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 packs the triple camera setup of the Note 20 5G. It has a 12 MP f/1.8 primary camera with 1.8-micron pixels and PDAF, laser autofocus. There’s a 64 MP telephoto camera capable of 3X optical zoom and 30X digital Zoom and a 12 MP f2.2 ultrawide camera to capture a wider field of view.
The rear camera is capable of 4K 60 FPS video recording and the front; the Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a 10 MP f/2.2 camera capable of 4K 60 FPS video recording and excellent quality selfies. The camera on the cover display is the same as the camera which resides on the inner foldable display.
Battery
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is equipped with a massive 4500 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and 11W wireless charging. It also boasts 9W reverse wireless charging to top-up your Galaxy Buds and other wireless accessories.
Price and Availability
