The former U. S President Donald Trump is planning to launch his own social media platform in two or three months, as mentioned by one of his senior advisor on Sunday. He was suspended from Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites on January.
A spokesperson for Trump’s 2020 campaign, John Miller stated that the former president will enter the social media space with his own new platform and that would “completely redefine the game”. After this there were no more details neither from Miller nor from Trump’s organization.
Twitter, Facebook and others have been under scrutiny for the way they handle accounts of politicians and government officials after their ban of Trump for inciting violence.
Twitter last week mentioned that it is reviewing its banning policies and considering whether the leaders should be held to the same rules as other users. Facebook too stated that it has asked its independent oversight board to decide whether the ban should stand or not.
