Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said today, that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone with an 8-inch QHD+ flexible OLED display in 2023.
Based on Apple’s requested capacity plan, it is predicted that the 15-20 million units can be shipped in 2023. The foldable iPhone will adopt TPK’s silver nanowire touch solution because of its several advantages over SDC’s Y-Octa technology. This display technology will be needed for future foldable devices that support more than a single fold. Hence rollable phones from Apple can also be a possibility.
As we know, Apple may come late into the foldable phone industry, but when it comes, it shall get the best possible package.
