Google Pixel 6 will hold the company’s self-made chip

Google is currently working on its own chipset codenamed Whitechapel that will power its upcoming Pixel 6 device. ‘Whitechapel’ is used in connection with the codename ‘Slider’.

The report mentioned “Slider’ is a shared platform for the first Whitechapel systems on a chip (SoC). Internally, Google refers to this chip as “GS101,” with “GS” potentially being short for “Google Silicon,” It was also reported that Google will be co-developing ‘Whitechapel’ with Samsung.

About Google’s all-new Pixel 6, a patent claimed that that the upcoming Google Pixel 6 will feature an under-screen selfie snapper. The other specifications of the device include a 6-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, will run on Android 11, and is expected to pack a 4,080mAh battery with fast-charging support.
