The screenshots shared by tipster in the WABetaInfo website pointed out that Whatsapp is working on the WhatsApp web beta programme for android as well as iPhone users, which means users will be able to use WhatsApp web without connecting to internet. Although the current version of beta doesn’t support this feature but is going to be available soon. Let’s take a look at some of its key features.
- Both the parties require the latest version of WhatsApp.
To call or message someone through their linked device, both the account needs to have the lasted WhatsApp version, otherwise this feature won’t work.
- Comparability
The WhatsApp Beta programme will be compatible with both WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business.
- “Delete for Everyone” option
After joining the Beta program, the delete for everyone option will be supported on linked devices but all other message deletion features will not.
- Upto four devices linkage
Users who will join this program will be able to use four devices at once including the Facebook portal.
How will the users activate this feature?
As per the shared screenshots, after the beta program is made available to users, the option to join the program will be in the settings menu under WhatsApp Web/Desktop option. On clicking this option, there will be a prompt saying “Join the new WhatsApp Web Beta, which no longer requires that you keep your phone connected”. After which the users need to click on the” Got it” option and they can join the Beta program.
